Simulated scenario

Split the company: two founders, one table

The goal Leave with a signed split, buyout price, vesting and board seats, accepted by all four parties.

Your seat Independent board chair mediating

The situation

The company has eleven people, fourteen months of cash and a lowball acquisition offer on the table. Two co-founders no longer agree on the product, and one wants out. The departing co-founder wants his vested shares priced fairly and part of the money in cash at closing. The staying co-founder wants final say on the roadmap and fears a buyout that drains the runway. The lead investor's director wants one clean cap table and no open claims. The head of engineering will stay only if the team keeps its option pool. You chair the session as the independent board chair. Both founders have seen lawyers, and neither will sign a number they have not seen twice. Talk alone will not settle equity; a price, a vesting schedule and a dated exit will.

What the simulation expects

No read yet for this simulation.

This is the simulation’s read, not a forecast that it is right.

How scoring works

You have 8 turns. You win by bringing the table to at least 70% support. Your points come from how much of the table you bring around, with each person counted by how much their view carries. Each turn you say one thing. The table moves on what you say; reach 70% to win. Every turn is re-checked from the moves you made, so the score can be reproduced.

A limited number of turns are free. After that, each turn costs credits. The game shows what you have left before you spend anything.
