Simulated scenario
The Fed, 8-9 December: hike or hold
Get the committee behind one December decision and one sentence of guidance, with no more than one dissent. A simulation, not a prediction.
Your seat Chair of the rate-setting committee
The situation
The Fed held its range at 3.75 to 4 percent on 28 October, and two members dissented for a quarter-point hike. Prices rose 3.7 percent on the year in September and the Fed's preferred core price gauge ran at 3.1 percent, yet payrolls grew by only 29,000 and unemployment sits at 4.2 percent. It is the week before the December meeting and you are sounding out the committee. Two members want the hike now. A governor who watches jobs says hiring has stalled and a hike would break it. A regional president wants the new projections to carry the call. A senior governor will back whatever keeps the vote split small. You win when the room backs one decision and one line of guidance the statement can carry. Each turn you say one thing. The table moves on what you say; reach the win line to win.

How scoring works
You have 8 turns. You win by bringing the table to at least 70% support. Your points come from how much of the table you bring around, with each person counted by how much their view carries. Each turn you say one thing. The table moves on what you say; reach 70% to win. Every turn is re-checked from the moves you made, so the score can be reproduced.
A limited number of turns are free. After that, each turn costs credits. The game shows what you have left before you spend anything.
