The situation

Caribbean, late October 1962, mid-morning. Your destroyer has shadowed a Soviet-flagged freighter for six hours. It sits low in the water with its hatches sealed, and it has ignored three signals to heave to. The quarantine order is plain: stop, board, inspect, and turn back anything carrying offensive weapons. The freighter holds course for the line, eleven minutes away. Your executive officer wants a warning shot across her bow now. The gunnery officer wants guns trained and the boarding party ready. The signals officer carries a fleet instruction forbidding any fire that could start a war. The liaison officer wants an inspection that will hold up in a report to the fleet. You command the bridge and decide what happens next. You win when this bridge agrees one order: a hold, a flag sign…

What the simulation expects

No read yet for this simulation.

This is the simulation’s read, not a forecast that it is right.

How scoring works

You have 8 turns. You win by bringing the table to at least 68% support. Your points come from how much of the table you bring around, with each person counted by how much their view carries. Each turn you say one thing. The table moves on what you say; reach 68% to win. Every turn is re-checked from the moves you made, so the score can be reproduced.

A limited number of turns are free. After that, each turn costs credits. The game shows what you have left before you spend anything.
