The situation
Club offices of a national football club, 9 p.m. on transfer deadline day. The club has one striker target, a fine finisher who is out of contract next summer, and the window shuts at 23:00. The player's agent sits across the table and wants a signing bonus, a higher wage than the club's cap allows, and a written promise of appearances. The head coach says the squad has no striker fit to start and wants the signing before the next match. The chief financial officer says any wage above the cap breaks the budget. The chairman has approved a total spend but has not yet seen the split. You run the negotiation for the club. How scoring works
You have 8 turns. You win by bringing the table to at least 70% support. Your points come from how much of the table you bring around, with each person counted by how much their view carries. Each turn you say one thing. The table moves on what you say; reach 70% to win. Every turn is re-checked from the moves you made, so the score can be reproduced.
A limited number of turns are free. After that, each turn costs credits. The game shows what you have left before you spend anything.
